Experiences 2021

These are the 19 experiences that were part of the Virtual Exhibition of Just Energy Transition Experiences in 2021.

On the way to the dream of my life- Torres Family

For approximately seven years they have been participating in a community process that has given them the opportunity to receive training, learn about experiences, learn and listen to other people who, like them, are concerned about improving their quality of life.

Photovoltaic system Granja El Puente Foundation

The Granja El Puente Foundation’s objective is to train small farmers, young people, men and women of limited economic resources in agricultural work, using theoretical and practical teaching systems for an adequate and efficient learning process that allows them to improve their standard of living, avoiding displacement to the cities.

Home warmth – family Torres Higuita

Approximately 5 years ago, there was a project in the village where they built efficient stoves. However, although between 15 and 20 families benefited, the project failed because the stoves had construction-related problems, among others, because they did not have enough space for the smoke to escape properly, the drying was not adequate and, in general, the way the work was carried out was not optimal.

Alternative energies La Serranía

The first experience they had in relation to community energy was more than 10 years ago with alternative cultivation systems: thanks to some processes they carried out with Agrovida, the idea of improving the ways of using the land’s energy to grow cleaner crops without so many chemicals was born.

Buena Vista Farm – Ortega Hernandez Family

The first to talk to this organization about community energy was Fundaexpresión, a partner in the process, when they held a workshop on the costs associated with electricity, gas and firewood consumption.
